After reading through the blogs of past student bloggers a lot (maybe too much) in preparation of arriving in Denmark, I knew there was one place I needed to go: Aarhus! It’s the second-largest city in Denmark and the largest in western Denmark, called Jutland. Many of the core courses go there for their Core Course Week, but since my class went to Hamburg instead, I hadn’t made it out there yet. I heard even more about the city from many of my apartment-mates when they returned from their Core Course Week travels there, so when planning this trip for my mom and I, I decided this would be a perfect place to start!
It has been a MINUTE since I posted!!!!! But I’m back and I hope y’all are ready because this is about to be a super fun week here on the blog. I just returned from my second travel week break and, as you can see from the title, had a time and a half on about as many modes of transportation possible. My mom came and visited me for the week, which was SO. MUCH. FUN.—I got to show her around Copenhagen for the first few days and then we packed up our bags and headed off on our Scandinavian adventure!
Because what better way than to spend the weekend between your travel breaks than…traveling?

The weekend before Core Course Week, my friend and I went to Rome.
Core Course Week was a month ago, so our trip was even longer ago than that. But it was either write this blog post today and be done with it or not write it at all, so here we are.
